so used to doing graveyard shift that im unable to slp...maybe i should start on my entrepreneurship assignment later which is due on tuesday....

back to morning shift this week, which means im starting work at 830am later...shiok ar! =p anyway im going to madagascar this week....which is requested by the TM and approved by top management....and my ROTM TM is still fighting for me to go back to the attraction since im aldy controls trained....guess like im stuck in between 2 attractions...good for me! im popular in two of the biggest rides (=

right now on hand for this week i've a law online test, event mgt assignment 1 and entrepreneurship assignment 1.....zzzzzz

for as much as i think mummy is one of the coolest ride, i really dun like to work with the people there!!! PRAY PRAY hard hard my final posting of attraction will change =\

in case u guys been wondering what i've been doing since universal studio singapore (USS) havent open yet...let me tell u yea....

currently most of the rides are doing T&A (testing & adjusting) or ride cycling. T&A means moving out the RV (ride vehicle) out from maintenance bay, and let me move on track manually...be it by pulling or pushing by workers (depend on the nature of the ride), so as to make sure the track is smooth enough to be run through...if not either they adjust the track or amend the RV....they also need to T&A the brakes and sensor....ride cycling means putting water dummy or sand bag on the RV and let it run round and round....there sure have RV stopped halfway, cant go up the lift, unable to stop immediately when pressed e-stop, etc...so all these have to adjust....my job is to make sure no-one is working around the area during the testing apart from the engineers....which means no workers is allowed around doing paintings or planting tress, etc...i also need to take note of any faults happening during the whole cycling period...and at the end of the day have to do a report.....so most of the time have to talk to those ah-mo engineers to find out why the RV stopped, why the brakes not working, etc....we also need to learn consoles buttons which we will be operating in future....so basically now im learning all the technical stuff of the rides i've been scheduled to cycle so far....as more rides are ready to cycle and we dun have enough full time staff (now waiting for part time staff to come in), most of us are working on a 12-16hrs shift.....currently i've went for cycling for Revenge of the mummy, Journey to Madagascar, Jurassic Park, Canopy flyer, Dino-soaring and Enchanted Airway....6 out of 24 attractions....

just a intro for USS......the whole themepark is divided into 7 themes:

1. Hollywood - mainly for photographing purpose....to let guest to have a feel of hollywood aura....there's a pantage theater for a live-show "Monstrocity".

2. New York - also for photographing purpose, and the feel of walking along NYC....there's a special effects stage hosted by steven spielberg and allows guests to feel that they are inside the movie scene itself where everything thatz happen is just visual effects.

3. Sci-fi City - consists of a dueling rollercoaster with a themeing of Battlestar Galactica where guest is allow to choose if they wanted to be in human side (normal siting position) or the cylon side (suspended, inverted ride). Sci-fi also consists of accelerator which also known as teacup...themeing is a power plant where the "cups" need to be keep spinning in order to generate electricity for the whole scu-fi zone.

4. Ancient Egypt - consist of Revenge of the mummy and Treasure Hunter. "Mummy" is a dark ride, meaning indoor roller coaster with visual effect. the whole ride goes through different scenes where u meet different mummies trying to "catch" u to stay with them....wherever u see them near u, the next moment u fall into a sudden drop! u can also feel the heat of the fire at one point....Treasure Hunter is a jeep ride, where u go around the track in search of treasures around the prymids. along the way u may see animal trying to attack u, or falling debris that almost fall into u...it's more of a family ride, and u can actually control the speed of the jeep abit haaaaa

5. The lost World - Main attractions is Jurassic Park rapids ride and Water world. Water world is a live stunt show that show the exciting part of the movie "waterworld" besides these two, lost world has canopy flyer, a fast open-air cable-car ride around the lost world in 30sec, and dino-soaring, a kiddy ride which kids are allow to control the RV up and down when spinning around.....we also have amber rock which is like a rock climbing thingy....the cool part abt this rock is that the dinosaurs carved on the rock is only by one design architecture who is quite cute ^^

6. Far Far away - theme is based on the movie Shrek....inside the castle, we have Shrek 4D, a 25min show with 3-D glasses, a rocking chair and to "feel" the show....donkey live is an interactive show where there's a stage, with audiences below, and there will be some characters interacting with children and maybe adults (= Enchanted Airways is a kiddy roller coaster with a dragon head (the donkey's wife in shrek). Motion potion is a indoor ferris wheel.....

7. Madagascar - a slow 10mins indoor water ride on a boat....inside you will see the characters appearing in madagascar where they got lost in the forest, and after that a beach....the characters will talk to each other, and move around (= outside we have king julien's merry-go-round.....

even though this job is making my life so hectic, im glad that im working in such a exciting place!!! (=
