for me, my plan was to find some books at kino, then go home put my barang barang and went running till 2130hrs...just as i was still browsing some books, daddy msg me to ask me follow him go island...so i went lorz....we chatted for awhile then daddy ask want go km8 as they have a "farewell party" (km8 at tanjong will be closed down w.e.f 30th march)
tried to jio some people but all dun want go, so nvm...me and daddy went to mac makan dinner, chilled at concert hall for awhile then cabbed in island again...danced danced danced till 2am+ hasri joined us, coz he was at booby's chalet before that...then we left km8 at 430am....chilled at palawan 7-11 makan breakfast haaa...waited for first express to go home...
i reached home at 8am....faster bathe, packed my barang barang then cabbed to work....super ma boh...the best thing is after work have to go booby's chalet...lolx!!! reached booby's chalet sit at bbq pit awhile den i went inside hut to slp le.... till hasri & irfan came at 9pm then i woke up....
*phew~~~ and now im still awake.......
woke up at 730am...david was already left the room...went to nks and saw him having his breakfast...had cheese omelette and orange juice for my breakfast [= set off to our canopy walk & jungle trekking at 9am...the canopy walk was quite crowded..with different group of people following different guides..only 10pax at a time to be allowed up at the starting platform...then once u start walking on the bridge, u have to keep around 5m away from the person in fornt of you..oliver was following tightly right behind me even his dad also cant say anything lolx...it's amazing how the people managed to build this canopy bridge using very simple tools....
the trekking was awesome! something i was looking forward to....most of the time i was at the back of the grp...abg zam (the guide) "assigned" me to look out for those who most likely to lag behind...so not only i have to keep a lookout for oliver, i also have a pair of relatively old german couple with me...coz we are actually climbing up a hill so there's alot of slopes...though at the side there's a rope to support u, also cant really trust it....for every 2 steps i moved, i have to hold oliver up, then the german couple....sometimes i have to move down to push them up coz their legs really got no much strength already....got 1 time the old man slipped seh...i was behind him and i quckily hold on to the rattan beside me which is strong enough to support us....*phew* so at midway of the mountain they decided not to climb anymore...so abg zam stayed with them then me & oliver + dad and some others continue to climb....the view at Teresek Hill was awesome!!! it's really worthwhile for the effort to climb up there...it took us 1 1/2hr to climb...once on top, u will feel like same height with the opposite hill ^^ trekking down was harder coz it's slippery & muddy so i let myself slipped down most of the time...even abg thought i fell down coz i super duper dirty all over lahz...remember i only brought 1 set of clothes ar...by the time we went back to nks for lunch i super hungry ar....the german couple came to me & thank me, even give me money...i rejected their money but since they insisted i asked them to treat me lunch...so i have pattaya fried rice [=
after lunch was cave exploration....we went to bat cave...a very narrow and small cave which u need to bend your body most of the time...and some hole are really small but most people can get it through...for me & oliver is not such a big issue...this time we have a pair of holland sister, lotta & trisha, joining us [= it's very hard to explain how the experience of climbing the cave unless u experience it yourself....at one point the sisters wanted to give up and get out of the cave but we can only move on you see...so me & the abg worked together...he in front i behind...inside it's very dark & slippery and only me & abg got torchlight...my mouth bitting the torchlight, one hand busy with camera and the other hand support myself from slipping....at any time we need to climb up a stone or wat, abg will be on top first, then i below pushing them up...heee...after coming out of the cave im stinko & muddy & dirty....got mud from the jungle trekking, and the bats' shit...haaa but i dun really care...at the end of the day, i threw away my trekking shoes...imagine i was that dirty & took the van back to jerantut hostel....i told the abg " you made me so dirty, im gonna dirty your van" haaa
the first thing when i settled down with my room was to go and have a hot shower....it's like never been so shiok before lahz...even more shiok than having hot shower after coming up from diving....lolx!
im gonna go back taman negara again to experience the overnight stay in deep jungle!!!!
woke up at 5am by daddy & ek...our ferry to mainland is at 630am...very sad seh....i wish i can just stay there longer....and im sure the rest also thinking the same as me....had our breakfast and waited for instruction to go to our ferry....it's a very windy morning...and the current was to strong for ferry to come near the island...so eventually we went to another resort pick up point, took a very exciting speedboat ride to the middle of the sea to take the ferry to mainland...very shiok haaa....reached terengganu at around 9am...started raining already...looked for the van that suppose to fetch us to the bus terminal....once at terminal, daddy they all started looking booth to booth to look for direct bus back to s'pore...and luckily there's a bus leaving at 1030am....everything seems to happen so fast and just like that i was alone in the bus terminal....luckily by then the rain already stopped...so i went to search for Ping Anchorage which my shifu recommended....to my surprise i found it in less than 15mins walk *phew* but too bad they don't have bus straight to taman negara....so i have to walk back to terminal and bought a tix to kuantan at 1pm!!! started raining again so i went to nearby mac to slack for another 2hrs....
it literally rained for the whole day....reached kuantan at around 5pm...and immediately went to buy tix to jerantut which is at 830pm!!! -_-""" my whole day was just waiting and taking bus from state to state haaaa....so i waited at the terminal, watching the only TV over there....coz it rained so heavily i cant go out to the shopping centre which is 2 streets away...sianz....finally 815, so i went to the pick up point to wait....meanwhile i met this pair of swedish dad & son....the son very playful...went to hold every person's hand whoever walked past him...i cant stop myself from laughing out and he came towards me and started playing with me!!! and u know what? the bus only arrived at 915pm!!! so so late....by then daddy they all aldy reached s'pore, and daddy had arranged a pick-up for me at jerantut bus station to the NKS hostel...so touched!!!! [= anyway, the swedish also going to jerantut and they were also planning to go taman negara...so cool right?? daddy and a 4-yr old son, oliver ^_^
by the time reached jerantut already 1am+...went to the van which daddy had arranged for me...and the little boy followed me! the dad was kinda lost so i offered him to come to the van since i think he cant possibly go anywhere under heavy rain...moreover oliver aldy inside the van dun want to get down lolx! there's no more 1-person room that night, so either i stay at the reception area or pay RM38 for a better room...then came a guy from USA asked if i wanna share a room with him so each of us only need to pay RM8....without much thinking i agreed...everyone must have thought i must be crazy but if u come to think of that, usually backpackers just want to cheap place to stay a night, nothing much else....anyway his name is abraham, considering him as a gorgeous guy yea! and he got a very bright smile [= he just got back from taman negara....and he actually drew me a map and share with me where to walk and where to be more careful and stuff....he already backpacked for almost 2yrs...spent 10months cycling around the whole the USA from state to state....then came to Asia....some places he will stay longer and work for awhile so as to travel to the next destination....so so awesome!!!!! we chatted till 3am then went to shower...by the time i shower back he already fell aslp...

woke up at 7am, took a quick wash up and started packing for my negara trip....i just brought along a set of clothing, my survival food, toiletries, handphone, camera, water thatz all....trying to bring the as minimal stuff as possible....say farewell to abraham as he setting off to KL...had breakfast at one of the coffee shop, then went to NKS HQ to plan my activities...so my plan was took a 3-hr boat ride to negara, check-in at ekonton hostel, main activities will be visiting asli village, night walk, canopy walk & trekking and cave exploration then take bus back to jerantut...and the swedish followed same activities as me [=
reached negara at ard 12pm...over there mainly all makan place are known as "floating restaurant" as they are just above the water....and these restaurant are also the tour agency at taman negara...so mine is actually NKS..check-in to a shared 8-bed room at RM10 per night...and i was the first person to stay in the room....kinda creepy...and later i found out that the last time daddy they all went also stay at the same room!!! lolx..after unloading all the unnecessary stuff, i went to explore around...since i got 2hr+ to my first activity: rapid shooting & asli village. went to kuala tahan where they have small markets there...wanted to look for gorang pisang but dun have!! so ended up i grabbed some curry puffs and malay cakes for lunch...went back to NKS at 3pm for my first activity...i supposed to only signed up for visiting the orang asli, but coz me & the swedish were the only ones doing this, so they put us share same boat with the rapid-shooting group so we actually doing 2 activities for the price of 1!!!! heee ^^
rapid shooting is a wet activity, basically u sit on the boat and it will pass by strong rapids along the river so u get a rocky and wet ride...something like rafting lahz....orang asli is original people who still live in the jungle and living with very basic necessities....they make their own fire, hunt for food, walking around naked and live in huts....over there, the people will teach u how they make fire and how they make their weapons for hunting....
went back NKS at ard 6pm....went to wash up and dry myself up abit...then go around looking for place to makan...so i went along the coastline from one restaurant to another to check out the price and food they offered...settled down at MaMa cafe owned by Han Travel and had pineapple pancakes & watermelon juice....talked to the abang working there and he ask me to join their night safari tour at 11pm...most of the agency had their night safari tour by driving 4-wheels and go to plantation, their night safari tour is taking boat ride and search for nocturnal animals along the shore or among the trees....the night trekking started at 8pm....and i have to take care of oliver since he likes to hold my hand lolx!! he very cute seh...keep using his tourchlight shining at leaves, flowers, trunks, etc....but he really can trek...*clap for oliver* he's not afraid of dark, insects and muddy grounds....and he never cry when he fell down....and just to emphsize again he only a 4-yr old boy yea ^^ apart from some insects, the only animal we saw is deer...which is very very far away from bumbun tahan observation hide...the tour ended at 1030pm...so i walked to Han Travel for the night safari tour....as it started to drizzle agter awhile, we got nothing to see!!! so sadx....went back at 12am+....coz it's high tide so i have to walk main road which doesnt have road lights!!!! luckily i got tourchlight but it's really very scary....from mainroad then turn into a smaller road which is a trail with only trees along the way....i can hear my heartbeat seh.....but i just keep walking till i see my hostel....by the time i reached my room aldy sweating alot seh...worst still i saw a bible on the bed which really freak me out...then i realised it's probably another backpacker sharing the room....my roommate turned out to be a guy, david, from KL....just came to relax coz he like the place so much....it's the 5th times he's been to negara aldy yea....
after lunch back to classroom for theory till 5pm+ then we went for diving at 9m deep...this time got shirley follow us and she helped to take pix [= but i have some problem going down this time...the previous dive i wasnt able to equalize fully even when im out of the water, so this time going down again really hurt my ears...im trying to go down slowly and up again...shifu spent like 15mins with me to help me down to the water....after that i cant hear the guys talk properly...everything i heard seems so soft to me
our "loud" alarm clock woke us up again...it's always very hard to wake up early in the morning...but after washing up u cant wait to go dive [= today we will be going to deeper sea to dive!! finally we no need to carry our heavy tank to the shore...our tank will be straight transported to the boat so we just have to set up the equipment, wear our suit and walk to the boat haaa...light drizzle early in the morning but it doesnt matter much....went out to southern tip for our dive...i like the feeling of going down straight from the boat to the water...first u have to inflat your BCD so u can float once u go down....so u will have to sit at the edge, facing backwards from the water, before jump right hand hold to the belt so it wont came off (just in case)..left hand hold to the bar...once u ready, let go of left hand, open up your palm big big to cover your face (to secure your mask and regulator from falling off), and off u go!! the feeling of falling backwards quite shiok! i like lolx...this dive is 16m deep and we start at 0855am...im glad i managed to equalize so not much of a problem [= poor ek din manage to do it so he only dive till 10-12m with ah mo shifu...it's very cool down there!!! the corals, fish....we even got to see a sea turtle above us!!! so luck [= it's just hard to explain the beauty and the feel when you are at the bottom....shifu helped us take pix...saw quite a big jellyfish and we all tried to touch it..super shiok!!! and i hit onto a hard coral and caused a blue-black on my knee =\
our next dive is at 1130am...by this time it's aldy heavy raining and got thunder!!! from the shore we can see the current quite strong...but shifu say nvm & we went ahead to dive....suppose to dive at a site but the current down was too strong for us, so we went to another site: Pulau Paku Kecil to dive...the boat ride was superb!!! we were like in some mission, on a very rough ride and all of us were shivering haaaa, once the boat stopped one by one just dropped down to the water in split seconds..coz the boat was swaying so much it's better for us to get out of it before any of us got seasick lolx!! we were swimming against the current, so it's quite tiring for this dive....i was keep pushing away from the rest and almost hit a very huge coral..again...daddy have to keep pulling me so i won't be swept away =p i will never forget the feeling of this "wannabe misison" dive [=
after lunch, we went to classroom for our theory test...haaa once shifu left us alone, we started cheating already *shhhhh* we got our log book , which is use for recording our evey dives, and chopped all the intructors' stamps on our textbook lolx....
I MISS MY SHIFU!!!!
