today is the first time i knocked off same time as the hall staff (coz usually wedding i the latest i stayed is till 10pm), but today's special....honourably requested by the couple to stay till they left the restaurant....haaa

tonight's wedding is a super small one....only 10tables of guests...by right my shift is till 830pm only...but due to special request...i ended up stayed till 11pm....

tonight's couple is Burmese....holding a wedding just for their s'pore friends....they are very sweet couple i must say...especially the guy....he's just sweet..haaaa...anyway this couple has alot of special request which needed me to do alot of special arrangments....though alot of extra work i can flatly rejected them in the first place...but i just cant say "no" to this pair of sweet couple u see...to my manger's eyes, this wedding is not worthwhile to deal with (first it's small and the budget is very tight), but to me..i just want this foreign pair to have their wedding as perfect as possible...so alot of things i make decisions without consulting the higher management and handle it myself =p but imagine for the past two weeks i've been seeing the groom-to-be almost everyday or he will msg me to ask me stuff when im off -_-"""

things had been going well till the dinner starts...i seriously freak out man....one of the muslim dishes was found rubber band inside the bowl (luckily not inside guest's mouth)!!! i immediately take the whole bowl & went in kitchen to show the chef....then they started argue not their fault (it may or may not be our fault, cause the food was prepared from outside caterer arranged by the couple, but watever it is, we are the one serving the food, so it's our responsibility to check also!) the manager came in & shouted shut up and go heat up another portion to serve them again( luckily there's an extra portion) ok this is bad enough...after which the couple went to change into another set of clothing, so i prepared their champagne for their toasting...usually i will unwrap the cover & loosen the metal cover abit so the groom can unscrew it easier & just let it "pop"...this couple brought in their super big bottle of champagne & i did the same thing for them...few seconds after i loosen the metal cover, the cork just "pop" up like that!!! im totally stunned & shocked & stoned looking at that bottle of champagne!!!! i didnt even shake the champagne abit lahz....i got no face to tell the groom...i was like pacing up & down outside the changing room like a school student who make terrible mistake waiting to see the principal....luckily me & the groom like "fren fren" aldy so eventually i compensated him a new champagne for him to do the popping and then use his big champagne for pouring the glass fountain....~phew~

while i was busying with the champagne incident, another couple was waiting for me for almost 30mins....so after the toasting ceremony was over, i quickly went out to see my another couple...i wanted to mention them because they are another very sweet & interesting couple....the bride-to-be is a dumb and the groom-to-be mastered sign language just to communicate with her....so sweet right?? met them 2 weeks ago to just briefly survey the venue...today came down to discuss abt the wedding package...it's interesting to see them "talk"...so whenever they "talked" finish the guy will "translate" their conversation with me...sometimes if i roughly know what they are talking abt, i will answer their question straight, save the guy's energy [= i wanted to close this deal coz i like the couple...but because they were unable to hit out minimum number of tables required (which is 25), my money-minded boss rejected to accept...he said their wedding date still quite faraway (which is on Dec), so may have bigger wedding coming in...*WTF*!!! eventually the couple told me to hold the date for them till they can hit 25tables...i feel bad... =\

ok, back to the wedding....despite all the cock-ups for the night....the couple mentioned special thanks to me in their thank-you speech!!! so touched!! too bad i was not there u see....i was told later on by my captain after that....what a waste....nevertheless, i knew i was being appreciated ^^

i believe that no matter how small & tight buget a wedding is gonna to be, every wedding deserves to be a perfect one.....
